About Us

Our vision, our team, and why we do what we do.

Our vision & work

Our vision is to provide a low-cost counselling service available for all in Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth, Stratford and the surrounding areas.

Counselling costs New Hope approximately £40 per session to deliver. We have a minimum charge of £20 for the service and ask clients to make an additional donation if they are able, for which we can claim Gift Aid.

For couples counselling there is a set cost of £50 per session.

We aim to keep our costs low by using voluntary help where possible and having the support of a number of local churches and grant-awarding trusts.

We offer counselling for many different issues including: depression, anxiety and stress, relationship problems, addictions, bereavement and loss, and low self-esteem. We also offer Couples Counselling.

We work with both adults and teenagers (16+), in person and online.

Clients reach us in many ways: through publicity, internet searches, church contacts, GPs, social services, voluntary organisations and increasingly through word of mouth.

Our counselling team

Our team

We currently have a team of over 40 counsellors working across our sites, along with volunteer admin assistants and five trustees.

All our counsellors are either qualified to diploma or degree level, or are trainee counsellors on placement working towards qualification. We have counsellors trained to work in person or online.

We currently have trainees from eight different universities and colleges. All team members receive regular supervision from qualified Counselling Supervisors.

We can provide a variety of counselling models including: person-centred, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and integrative.

Our qualified counsellors are all on the Professional Standards accredited register with either the ACC, BACP, NCS or UKCP.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
— Psalm 34:18

Although New Hope is a Christian charity, there is no Christian focus or agenda in the counselling offered, unless requested. We are seeking to show love and support to those in our local community who are in need.

New Hope is affiliated to the Association of Christians in Counselling (ACC). All counsellors working for us adhere to their Code of Ethics and Practice.
